Stand K 040 - J041
Lapalma is confirming its presence at Orgatec, the international fair for office and contract, which explores every two years new solutions and concepts for a fast-changing working environment.
The motto chosen for this edition is “culture@work”, in particular, manufacturers are invited to think about the spaces requested by the new culture in workplaces and how the projects of offices will change in future.
After the digital revolution, the scenario in the office is oriented towards a free configuration of space and time (we can work at home, in a hotel, in an airport): cultural paradigms are changing and are now focused on trust, motivation, open mindfulness and wellbeing.
The stand of Lapalma, designed by the art director Francesco Rota, with a play of color and material contrasts, explains the result of an exploration, which has been carried on for some years about the new workplaces. The most innovative solutions, thought as an answer to the architect’s need of flexibility are exhibited in the stand together with some iconic pieces of the brand.
From the warmth of wood to the technological Fenix, from a clean graphic match of white and black to the cold whiteness lightened up by orange, pink and red shades: these contrasts are showing the peculiarity of each product which stands out but at the same time perfectly merges with other ones to combine a perfect mix.
The stand has a black ceiling and two big pillars with square section, one in white and one in black so that the space is divided in three parts showing harmonic contrasts, exhibiting different proposals to furnish small or big areas with flexible furniture for co-working.
An office will be exhibited where spaces can communicate each other, spaces for manager or employees, for co-working or lounge, and all of them with technological devices.
The first area in the stand with a warm wooden floor and neutral colours (beige, grey, brown) and white and black tones is showing the ADD system by Francesco Rota in a configuration suitable as a working area and complemented by some UNO chair by Francesco Rota. ADD is an awarded modular seating system for a free configuration of its elements, thanks to corner legs or linking legs in die-cast aluminium: the same system will be exhibited for the ADD T, a family of tables. ADD S is also displayed, a modular storage system which can be configured and integrated with tables and seating to arrange open or hybrid offices.
Near this operational zone, a lounge area will be installed where ADD seating system gets more comfortable: this is ADD SOFT in leather, perfect to welcome people in an corporate environment and for an informal and casual approach in workplaces. Accessories are also available for cabling and sockets to be placed on the wooden top. This sofa is complemented by YO side height adjustable tables by Romano Marcato and the JEY side tables by Francesco Rota, which can be easily placed where needed.
Near ADD sofa, there will be PLUS sofa designed by Francesco Rota: a versatile island configuration, without armrests nor backrest, in a grey fabric. Nearby, UNO lounge chair with some KIPU ottomans by Anderssen & Voll and some more JEY side tables.
The central part of the stand is an “all white” stage with an outstanding ACCA table by Francesco Rota in black open pore finish, ideal for a contemporary office always more oriented to flexible workplaces, light and connected. ACCA is displayed in a new “ S shaped” configuration with some new SEELA chairs, design Antti Kotilainen.
SEELA is an eclectic, refined and contemporary chair which stands out for its unusual material mix. The polypropylene shell is enriched by the warmth of a wooden or upholstered seat-pad, seamlessly integrated in the seat. At Orgatec, SEELA with arms or with writing tablet is shown also on castors. But there is more than that: the flexibility and the numberless possibilities of combination for a customized chair perfect for the contract market, are shown behind a window.
Light pink with white for the based are the colour for the LAB stools by Karri Monni, protagonists in a space with ADD S modular storage system. On the other side of the
stand, the white floor is the contrast for an oval FORK table by Tomoya Tabuchi made with black Fenix top and exhibited with some ARCO chair in black wood open pore, designed by Francesco Rota.
Last but not least: a white space with sudden strokes of colors. Here, ADD system is composed of a corner soft seating in orange fabric with storage units in several heights with a “must have”: the LEM stool by Shin &Tomoko Azumi for the first time completely in orange.
In the black part of the stand, two working zones with high tables are displayed: ACCA table with MIUNN stools by Karri Monni and BRUNCH table by Romano Marcato, a modular system available in three heights also with central top for “star shape” configuration. BRUNCH is complemented by LEM stool and the sitting-aid RYO by Enzo Berti. There is also an ADD table, square with Fenix top together with some CUT chairs by Francesco Rota with a swivel bas ein natural ash. This area of the stand is completed by a small living room with ADD soft in grey fabric with KIPU ottomans and YO tables.
